Recipient of the Merit Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement

Although I graduated from Rutgers with my MHRM more years ago than I care to admit, my positive memories of the experience are still strong. The opportunities afforded me by my MHRM education have been fruitful, both personally and professionally. I’d also like to think that these opportunities have enabled me to contribute to “the greater good.”

At Rutgers, the professors who taught me principles in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior and Labor Relations were and are world-class, and the classroom experience was made especially rich by the study groups my fellow classmates and I formed. Perhaps the best part of getting my Master’s from Rutgers was that it increased my self-confidence, because I felt so well-trained.

After graduating from the Rutgers MHRM program, I joined a Fortune 100 manufacturing firm where I cut my organizational teeth in Human Resources, staffing various functions. I was then able to take over the top HR spot at Lourdes, a Franciscan, non-profit health system within Catholic Health East. In that role, I am currently responsible for deploying Human Capital strategy for more than 5,000 employees.

As my career journey continues, I am still able to draw upon my positive experiences in the Rutgers MHRM program. Even today, the alumni offerings support my intellectual curiosity.
