Bio:
(Ed.D., Harvard University, sociology of organizations) studies employee stock ownership, broad-based stock options, management stock ownership, employee involvement, and corporate governance. His articles have appeared in the Industrial and Labor Relations Review and the British Journal of Industrial Relations. He has written several books including such recent contributions as A Working Nation (an edited volume with David T. Ellwood, SMLR colleague Douglas Kruse, and others) (New York: Russell Sage Foundation, 2000) and In the Company of Owners: The Truth About Stock Options And Why Every Employee Should Have Them. (New York: Basic Books, 2003). His most recent monograph is Stock Options, Corporate Performance, and Organizational Change (with SMLR colleagues Douglas Kruse, James Sesil, and others). He was a member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, where he was the Mellon Foundation Fellow.
