This area is one of major importance to HR executives. This course is focused on the critical benefit issues that face modern organizations, particularly in the areas of pensions and health care. The impact of benefits costs on operations, decisions to outsource and move operations overseas will be covered. Benefits as a strategic issue for corporations
Managing Rewards Systems II
This course centers on incentive pay systems, and would provide in-depth coverage of sales and executive pay issues. Advanced individual performance issues would also be covered. The HR Measurement course would be a prerequisite.
Human Resource Information Systems
This course provides hands-on instruction in the use of an HRIS, but would focus on the kinds of data that might be stored and how the data could be used. The course would have to be carefully integrated with the HR Decisions courses and the HR Measurement Course.
Corporate Governance
This course centers on the role of the HRM Department in corporate governance. Topics might change as governance issues change, but should include HR’s dealings with the Board of Directors and Senior Management, the role of HR in maintaining corporate ethics, HR’s role in dealing with government, NGO and other pressure groups and constituencies.
Developing Professional Capabilities
This course addresses personal leadership, presentation skills, internal consulting skills, and other areas needed to make our students competitive in current and future job markets.

Internal Consulting Skills
Development of skill, knowledge, and practice centering on effective internal consulting practices.
Advanced Statistics for Human Resource Managers
This course would take capable/interested students beyond simple linear regression and expose then to a broader variety of statistical techniques that would be useful in human resource decision making. It might cover survey construction and analysis, for example.
Managing Diversity
Understanding the topics and issues related to workforce diversity in gaining competitive advantage.
MLER Courses can also be taken as electives.
