The
Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) program
is one of the very top HRM programs in the United
States, with graduates employed in major corporate,
government, and nonprofit organizations across the
country such as: GE, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, and
Colgate-Palmolive, among others. With the largest
concentration of HR faculty in the United States,
the HRM Program at Rutgers is internationally renowned
for its research and teaching in the areas of strategic
human resource management, global employment strategies,
new approaches to worker involvement, and the transformation
of work. In addition to the program offerings at our
main campus in Piscataway, New Jersey, the program
has sponsored off-campus programs in affiliation with
corporations in the tri-state area and international
programs in cooperation with other major universities
around the world from Indonesia to Singapore
to our current European Executive Master in HR Leadership.
The
program is intended for several groups of people including:
- Individuals
who aspire to or who have already begun careers
as human resource (HR) staff representatives
- Line
managers desiring knowledge about the development
and management of people
The
student body is comprised of individuals from throughout
the United States and the world and represents a variety
of undergraduate majors and work experiences. MHRM
degree students learn how organizations:
- Design
HRM systems to build a competent, committed workforce,
and flexible, integrated, cost effective organization
- Assess
the effects of HRM policies and systems on organizational
performance
- Apply
financial analysis, research methods, and software
to the HRM decision process
- Combine
work design, measurement, staffing, development,
rewards, and governance systems into an integrated
HRM system strategically linked to the business
